Getting Around


Guayaquil, your new home city, is an exciting place to be. People will greed you welcomely; this city is pretty vibrant, full of life and full of spontaneus people ready talk to you on the most friendly manner.

Guayaquil's weather is usually hot, sometimes suffocating, the perfect excuse to have an "agua de coco" -coconut water- on a tipical "saguan" -the lower part of the building- designed to provided shade to pedestrian from the hot climate; or if you preffer you could walk in to the 23 malls this city has. However, if you are in downtown, we recommend you to go stragith to Cerro Santa Ana, some streets away from financial sector, grabb a cold drink and enyoing the spectacular river view...

How much do you know about Guayaquil?


Guayaquil, officially Santiago de Guayaquil, is the largest and the most populous city in Ecuador, with a metro area population exceeding 3.3 million at the end of 2009, as well as that nation's main port. The city is the capital of the Ecuadorian province of Guayas and the seat of the namesake canton.
Guayaquil is located on the western bank of the Guayas River, which flows into the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Guayaquil. Because of its location, the city is the center of Ecuador's business and manufacturing industries.
The climate in the dry season is warm and pleasant, in the rainy season between January and April it gets very hot.
